Shahla Parveen is an experienced Vancouver web designer/developer and an IT consultant with a strong background in web development, website design, search engine optimization, and website consulting to small and medium-sized business owners. She is the founder of Sparta Web Solutions and possesses diversified knowledge and experience in advanced web technologies like HTML, CSS, PHP, JQuery, LAMP, and ASP. She is known for her professionalism, responsiveness, analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and ability to pursue challenging tasks. She has nearly 15 years of experience with software development, computers, and the internet.
Prior to starting the career in IT consultancy she was employed as a research scientist at QNX Software Systems, Vancouver, BC (formerly known as Harman Becker Automotive Systems, Wavemakers Inc.) and was responsible for developing signal processing and speech enhancement algorithms for embedded systems. She has authored numerous international publications and has been awarded several US patents.
Shahla holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, the United Kingdom, and a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics with Specialization in Electronics from Karachi University.
